Recruiters read a lot of CVs, quickly. These changes make it easier to see what you can do, and to put you forward with confidence.
Lead with outcomes on your CV
List what changed because of your work, not just what you were responsible for. “Cut page load time from four seconds to one” says more than “worked on front-end performance”. Numbers help, but a clear before and after is enough.
Keep your CV and LinkedIn in step
Recruiters check both. Make sure your titles and dates agree, and that your headline says what you do and what you want next.
Show your work
A GitHub profile, a portfolio, a case study or a short write-up of a project you are proud of all give a recruiter something to point to when they present you. Pin your best work, and add a line on what each piece shows.
Be clear about what you want
Say what role, pay range, location and way of working you are looking for, and how long your notice period is. It is not pushy. It saves everyone time, and it means you are put forward for roles you would actually take.
A short reply keeps the door open for the next role.
Reply, even when it is a no
Good recruiters remember who was easy to work with. A one-line reply to a role that is not right for you often leads to the one that is.
